Your personal trainer will show you how to perform the exercises properly, as well as help you understand why you are performing them.
The main goal of resistance training is to produce more lean body mass. Every pound of lean body mass burns between 30 – 70 calories per day, so increasing your lean body mass helps achieve a caloric deficit. This is important, because losing lean body mass slows down your metabolism, causing you to burn fewer calories.
Your personal trainer will then implement a flexibility program to help relax tight muscles, strengthen weak muscles and correct muscle imbalances throughout the body by analyzing current range of motion and posture.
