*Each tanning bed uses a carefully controlled mix of both UVA and UVB ultraviolet light rays to help prevent indoor tanners from burning as easily or as quickly as they could by tanning outdoors. Tanning outdoors does not give the control that indoor tanning does, because the sun emits the entire spectrum of ultraviolet light, including the most intense rays that burn you more quickly. With indoor tanning, you always know exactly what kind of ultraviolet light you are getting and how long you will be in the tanning session. You also have the convenience of never having to worry about bad weather or over-exposure to sunlight.
